Jeepers Christmas Break-up Weekend
Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd December

This is a big weekend in the Jeepers social calendar and we hope you can all make it along for a day or the whole weekend. You can arrive anytime from Thursday and stay until Monday. Check-in is from 12 noon.
To get to site –
Easiest access is via the Brisbane Valley Highway, use either the North or South entrance to town depending on your approach. The south entrance will take you through the main street then dogleg into Ivory Creek Road. If coming from the northern approach, Ivory Creek Road is 2nd on your left. Once on Ivory Creek Road, you will see the showground entrance to your right about 1km down
Campground facilities – Showers & toilets, powered sites, water, recycling bin, Entertainment area for use over weekend, Dump Point, Mobile Phone reception. A short drive to Toogoolawah township for supplies.
Campfires – Provided there are no fire bans in place. BYO your own fire-pit/brazier and tray to catch ash. Ash can be added to the large campfire area. Some firewood available but feel free to bring your own.
Pets are permitted but MUST be kept on a leash at all times.
Camping fees - $20/van/day - eft/cash (power & water or unpowered)
What will be happening over the weekend -
FRIDAY – For those who can arrive early, set up and relax. Have a look through town Last year everyone who went for the Friday lunch enjoyed it, so we will do it again this year. Please let me know if you want to do Friday Pub Lunch as we need to book
SATURDAY – Activities will start in the afternoon at 1.30pm with the wrapping of prizes and hampers for the Multi-Draw Christmas Raffle held on Sunday. Donations of individual prizes or grocery items for the hampers can be bought over to the Entertainment Area from 1.30pm. If you can’t make it on the weekend, donations can be handed to our Event Coordinator, Des Young or Carolyn Farnell. All donations are greatly appreciated. If donating foodstuffs, please ensure that they are still “in date” and that their “Use By” date has not expired.
Following the wrapping of prizes, the “Country” Club Meeting will be held around 3pm. Happy Hour will follow around 4.30pm. As we have been doing since the start of CO-VID, everyone brings their own plate of nibbles and drinks for Happy Hour. There will be no communal ‘nibbles’ table. Time for dinner to be advised.
The Committee have organised with the Show Society President to cater the Saturday night dinner.
Cost - $20-$25 per head for a 2-course meal (Cost to be confirmed closer to time). The Club will be subsidising members $10 per head for the dinner. When booking in for the weekend, please advise if you want to partake in the catered dinner. Dinner will be in pavilion with tables & chairs provided. BYO drinks.
Don’t forget to pack some Christmas decorations to decorate your van and the table where you will be sitting on Saturday night. This will add to the festive atmosphere of the weekend.
If you can only make it for -
SUNDAY – activities will commence at 10.30am sharp with the arrival of Santa and distribution of presents for children. If you are bringing primary-school aged children or younger, can you please advise Des Young asap – how many children, their names and how old they are.
The Club will give each primary-school aged child a small gift and we also ask parents/grandparents to bring a small gift to no more than $15 with the child’s name marked on it, for Santa to present to them. These gifts can be handed to Des or Carolyn once you have set up in camp or when you arrive on Sunday. After Santa’s departure, there will be presentation of any Awards and Gifts and the drawing of the Multi-Draw Raffle. Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the weekend.
If you will be attending the weekend, please add your name to the website and advise which days you will be attending or advise Carolyn or Des & Judy. Most importantly, we need to know if you will be bringing any children with you.
