THE BIG ROSELLA FIELD DAY Discover all things Rosella st Perersen's Farm annual Rosella Field Day!


Friday 3rd to Monday 6th May including the May Day long weekend – is drawing close.

The Rosella Field day is held at Petersen’s Farm – 2 Reilly Road, Woolooga

Approximately 3kms away, to the Rosella Field Day is Brooyar eco-lodge and caravan park.

Brooyar Eco-Lodge and Caravan Park, 83 Brooyar Road, Woolooga - accommodation details are:

• Powered sites are $40 /night for 2 people $5/ night /additional person, up to 6 people in total.

• All powered include electricity, toilet, shower, washing machine, drinking water and Wi-Fi.

• Unpowered sites $20.00 per night for two people, $5/night/additional person maximum 6 people/site

• Pet friendly; to be on a leash at all times.

• Fire-box will be set for our group – BYO firewood.

• Self-contained cottages can be booked for anyone without a caravan.


There are six powered sites available that weekend at this stage, all powered sites have room for two caravans and one extra vehicle.

Friday 3rd May – arrive and set up camp.

Saturday 4th May – visit the Big Rosella anytime from 8.00am to 3.00pm

Entry to the Rosella Field Day – 1x Adult Saturday 4th May - $10.00

Sunday 5th May – depart and follow through Kilkivan, Goomeri, Murgon to Wondai.

Overnight at free-camp at Wondai end of rail trail. (No power, but toilets and hot showers).

Monday 6th May – depart – on the road to Kingaroy, Nanango to Linville.

Pub lunch or evening meal, depending on time of arrival.

Overnight – limited power available. Coin op. hot showers.

Tuesday – depart Linville, head home at your leisure.

Since 2016, Petersen’s Farm has welcomed visitors to enjoy the annual Big Rosella Field Day, sharing their love of farming and cooking, as well as bringing awareness of what Rosellas are about – where they come from, what to do with them, how to grow, and everything in between.


Rosella Field Day is an annual event that celebrates the harvest of rosella fruit and promotes the love of farming. The event attended by farmers, community members, and visitors who share a passion for agriculture and sustainable food practices.

The event features a variety of activities, including tours of the farm, growing rosellas, cooking demonstrations and tastings, entertainment, and opportunities to purchase fresh rosella fruit and other locally grown produce.
