Weekend at Jondaryan Woolshed 21-24 July 2023

The Woolshed at Jondaryan reopened earlier this year, so we have planned a weekend to check it out - 21 to 24 July, 2023. Come for a day or 2 or 3 or 4 - as long as you can. It will be a relaxing weekend with a couple of short day runs. Also, the creek is apparently full of yabbies and yellow belly, so pack your yabby pots and fishing lines and your favourite bait. I have the big pot for cooking up the yabbies.

The Jondaryan is a short drive from both Toowoomba and Dalby along the Warrego highway and is approx. 170klms from Brisbane.

During your stay you are free to wander around the Museum at your leisure and we may be able to organise a Woolshed Experience Tour if there are sufficient numbers. You will also be able to download an app to go on a self-guided tour. The Woolshed’s history started in 1840 and it has seen many changes of ownership, mechanisation, cultivation and now tourism. In 1973 the Woolshed and 12 acres were gifted to the Woolshed Association for preservation. The Woolshed is now owned by Toowoomba Regional Council as a separate entity. A passionate and dedicated team of staff and volunteers take on the role of caretaker and together with the community, they continue to be the driving force behind maintaining and upgrading the grounds. As one of the most iconic venues on the Darling Downs, there is an unwavering commitment to protect and preserve the history and integrity of the Woolshed for future generations.
