Camping Trip to Kenilworth

Come for 4 days, Come for the Weekend or just for a day…….

Thursday 27th - Monday 31st August, 2026

We will be camping at Kenilworth Showgrounds, Cnr Charles Street & Maleny-Kenilworth Road and some powered sites have been tentatively booked.

Camping Fees - $30/pwr/2 people    $25/pwr/1 person    $20/unpwr/1 or 2 people. EFTPOS payment preferred. Payment on arrival.

Facilities – Hot Showers $1 coin for 3 mins;  Toilets;   Dump Point;  Elevated firepits permitted (unless fireban)

The Showgrounds are dog friendly.

Entry to the Showgrounds (instructions from Caretaker at Showgrounds) – Please use George St to Mary St or Charles St entrance. Check in after 11am.

The Showgrounds are walking distance to town and river. Walk to Hotel, Cheese/Dairy Factory, Museum, Bakery with its 1kg Do-nuts, Bowls Club, Grocery Store, Pharmacy, Clothing Store, Chocolate Shop, Brewery, Pizza & Smallgoods, Cafes, an Op Shop, Craft Shop and there is a small market on Saturday morning. Most outlets are in Elizabeth or Charles Street.

A rough/suggested itinerary for the weekend (no time to do a reccee, so this will be confirmed closer to time or I am open to suggestions of what you would like to do).

Thursday – Arrive and get set-up

Friday – Spend time in the township. Maybe dinner at the Bowls Club if there is enough interest

Saturday – Visit the small Market on Saturday morning and a scenic drive sometime during the day

Sunday – Scenic Drive to Little Yabba Park for short bush walk (Fig Tree Walk) & morning tea.

Monday – Time to pack-up and head for home.

This will be a relaxed weekend. There are plenty of 4WD/High Clearance roads nearby through the Conondale National Park and Imbil State Forest that you might like to explore.
