Easter 2025 Trip to Tyalgum, NSW

Date: Thursday 17 April - Monday 21 April, 2025

(departing Tuesday 22 April) or when it suits you.

Camping at Tyalgum Showgrounds,

Lot 103 Carraboi Terrace, Tyalgum, Northern NSW

Powered sites - $20/night + $5/person + $10/pwr/night

Unpowered sites - $20/night + $5/person

We will be “Flying-By-The-Seat-of-Our-Pants” over the Easter Weekend as I haven’t had time to do a reccee but that will be part of the fun and adventure.

Tyalgum is a cute little town not far from Murwillumbah, so there will be heaps to do……….

The village is within walking distance of the Showgrounds which will be a bonus if you want to go to Flutterbucks on Friday night for their Pizza Night with live music or to visit the Tyalgum Hotel for a lunch or dinner. The Hotel also has local artists on Saturday & Sunday.

Some of the shops include a General Store, Bakehouse with French pastries, a Gelato shop, The Preservery, a Gin Bar & Black Hops Beer Bar, a Double or Nothing Coffee Shop and then there is the Markette Lane Shops which could prove very interesting.  I am told that there should be a small market on in the main street on Saturday (to be confirmed).

There are plenty a local drives we could do and a visit to the Art Gallery in Murwillumbah, I have been told is worth a visit, especially to see the Margaret Olley exhibition.

With a bit of time to relax and enjoy the environment, I am sure we can fill in a very enjoyable Easter weekend.

The Showgrounds is starting to fill up with bookings and I have requested a tentative number of sites, HOWEVER, if you are interested in attending this weekend, can you please give me a call or send me a message asap to advise that you would like to attend. Once I have numbers, I can confirm with the Showgrounds and you will then be required to pay a deposit of one night’s camp fees. They have been experiencing a lot of “No Shows” with groups, so they have unfortunately had to imposed this requirement. The Showgrounds has the usual facilities and a large camp kitchen and dump point
